"Lots of haters out there for some reason. Some people who do not like sauce with their BBQ may not like it, because their sauce really adds a lot of flavor. The BBQ is ordinarily very good and appropriately moist and full of flavor. Maybe a few reviewers caught it on a bad day.
Their ribs are better than Country Tavern I believe. Chopped and sliced beef and even the sloppy joe are good. Smoked turkey sandwich is excellent.
I'm not a fan of the cole slaw or beans, but the potato salad (if you like dill) and especially the gumbo are very good.
Sweet tea is good. Pecan pie and lemon icebox pie are excellent.
Overall, I like this Bodacious BBQ on Hwy 42 in Kilgore, just north of Interstate 20, more than any of the other locations."

"Delicious chopped beef sandwich. If you like sausage too you can get a melman that is brisket and smoked sausage chopped together. The kids loved the sliced turkey and the sauce is one of the best around."
